Mickey Mouse bound

On the Friday of our long vacation weekend our plan was to go just to Magic Kingdom, however, Brody kept talking about riding Star Wars so we decided at the last minute to head to Hollywood Studios for Brody to ride Star Wars and all of us to ride Toy Story and then off to Magic Kingdom.

On our way to the park, Brody saw a picture of an eagle and began to explain to us that the bald eagle is in charge of all the other birds.  He said "I know why it's called bald because bald is another word for boss."  I guess his Papa would be happy to hear that.

With his new Mickey hat from the pastor at FBC Orlando, who spoke at the UN dinner I went to a couple of weeks ago.

In line for Toy Story.

We didn't get to see Mickey so I guess Minnie will have to do.  Trevor was still pretty excited.

We were out of HS by 10:30 and off to MK.  I could tell the park was pretty crowded when we got there but I guess that's what happens when you go on a Friday.  We were still able to ride everything we wanted to with the help of a few Fast Passes.

Our first stop was the Teacups.  You can see I don't ride these things - it's an all boy thing.

Part of the new FantasyLand was open so we were all able to ride Goofy's Roller Coaster and so this was Trevor's 2nd roller coaster.  He enjoyed it a little more than his first coaster.

No trip to MK is complete without a ride on the Carousel.

Or a ride on the PeopleMover - my boys love this thing.

The boys were getting quite tired and hungry so we stopped to eat and that helped a little bit, but they were still pretty tired.  We didn't want to waste 4 hours by going back to the hotel to let them sleep so Jason thought to head over to the Pecos Bill restaurant and find a place in the corner and let Brody lay down and rest while Trevor was passed out in the stroller.  We found the perfect spot for Brody and it wasn't that crowded since it was about 2:00.  Within about 45 minutes, it began to pour so the restaurant got pretty crowded, but it didn't wake up my boys.  They slept for about 1 1/2 hours and felt so much better.

One way we got them to go to sleep was to tell them they could have ice cream when they woke up - they sure didn't forget.

Sometime during the day, Jason had a Pepsi and Trevor acted like he wanted some, so Jason gave him a sip - now keep in mind Trevor really has never had any soda - just water, milk and a little juice (at least that is what we thought).  Trevor immediately said "that's Papa's drink".

After a refreshing nap and ice cream, we were off to Pirates of the Caribbean - one of their favorites.  Why oh why don't they make a way to detour the gift shop afterwards.  I really think this is why the ride is their favorite.

We were able to ride a few more things but it continued to drizzle off and on until we finally decided to leave around 8PM.

The park was open until midnight which we were going to take advantage of but after checking out the radar it just didn't look like the weather was going to cooperate so off to Downtown Disney we went for dinner and a visit to the toy store.

Our 3rd night and we were back to the hotel late again, but it's ok because we didn't have to leave too early Saturday morning just time for us to be back for Brody's tball game Saturday afternoon.

Our long weekend vacation was a huge success and the boys had a blast.  Trevor continues to tell people that he "pooped in the potty" so he goes to Disney World.  Whatever it takes was my philosophy.  I am happy to say that he had no accidents while we were on vacation - YEAH!!!
