May The Force Be With You

After the morning Christmas parade, we hurried home and prepared the house for Brody’s 6th birthday party – Star Wars style.  He was so excited for all of his friends to be coming over to enjoy the bouncy house with him – or maybe it was to be able to have some light saber duals with them.  Check out the homemade lightsaber’s I made.  Brody and of course Trevor thought they were the best thing.

All week long the weather forecast showed beautiful skies for a birthday party, but of course the day of – the skies weren’t looking so pretty.  We still set up for the party to be outside and thankfully the rain held off for most of the time  and didn’t ruin too much.

A little friendly corn hole competition from the guys.

Trevor's latest hand on the hip pose.

After bouncing slide, light saber duals, trampoline, and playground it was time for presents.  Brody received lots of great presents – games, Star Wars stuff, guitar strap and picks, clothes, marshmallow guns, money, and a skateboard.  He was so excited to get his skateboard – now he just has to learn to ride it.

This was the coolest idea for a present - $1 bills taped together in a box for Brody to pull out.

Cake Time
I had 6 blue candles in the pantry which I thought was perfect – well I am pretty sure they were the trick kind because they didn’t blow out too easily.  Thank goodness Brody didn’t get too upset with that.

It started to rain shortly after so people started leaving.  A few friends  stayed around to watch the SEC championship game GA vs ALA and us girls chatted while our kids played.

It was a great funfilled day, but oh I was glad it was over.
