Singley Family Christmas

December 8 we packed up and headed down to Green Cove Springs to Jason's Aunt Joyce's house for our family Christmas.  Granny hadn't been too well at the time.  Just a few weeks before, hospice was called in and she came home.  However, she seemed to get better so they put her back in the nursing home.  We were able to bring her to Aunt Joyce's for the get together which included the entire family except one of Jason's cousin and his wife who are stationed in Hawaii.

We did a lot of sitting around chatting and catching up with family we haven't seen in awhile.  We also ate a lot of food and the guys played some corn hole while the kids rode go carts or just ran around and played.

Oh yeah, the kids loved chasing the chickens.

Brody and Trevor thought riding this was the coolest thing ever.

Trevor had had enough and took a little nap.  Not sure how much more of these I will get so I take every opportunity I can.

My new recipe for our gathering - chocolate cupcakes with Peppermint icing.  They were a huge hit with the kids who mostly just licked the icing off.

All of the great grandkids in order from oldest to youngest.

Present time.  The kids all drew names so everyone had something to open.

Sweet Granny.  She was so tired that day and decided to sleep while we opened presents.

It was so nice to see everyone since it has been about 4 years since we had seen some of them.
