Around Atlanta

Saturday morning we slept in since we didn't get to bed until around 1AM - thankfully the boys slept until about 9.  Stephanie had found a great deal on our breakfast that morning at the hotel - all 7 of us for a buffet breakfast for $20.  The price is usually $20 for 1 - she is the google queen!!

After our breakfast we headed out to see what we could find in Atlanta.  We didn't want to get home too late but we wanted to enjoy the city since we were there - we also didn't want to spend too much money.  We started out our adventures by driving around Buckhead and drooling over the HUGE houses there.  We found several for sale and said both of our families could go in together and buy it and would probably never see each other because the homes were so big.

We kept telling the kids we were looking for a park - that kept them occupied for awhile (and the movie that was playing).  We finally headed to Centennial Olympic Park.

The weather was great so it was perfect for the kids to run around.  At first they were wondering where the playground was, but once they realized how much fun they could have just running around they were fine.

The kids played and played.  The game agenda was Duck, Duck Goose and they raced each other along with Jason.

Yeah, we just watched and laughed.

Time for a race

The finish line.

We wanted to grab something to eat before we headed home so we found this burger shack in the park - Googie Burger.   The food and milkshakes for the kids were great - and maybe even too good for some who thought the Beefy Pig Burger would be a wonderful choice.  While we were finishing up our food, the kids were off playing.  All of a sudden, Ava shows up carrying something

Yeah, a dead bird.  Stephanie and I freaked out and thankfully Ava dropped it.  While we were still freaking out about Ava, we turn around and Trevor has now picked it up and brought it closer to the table.  OH MY!  We grab their arms and rush to find a bathroom to wash up.  We notice a family of 4 laughing quite hard about the show they are seeing!!  Glad we could make them laugh!!  Come to find out, I'm pretty sure Brody was the one who said to pick it up.  Yeah, he wasn't about to pick it up, but leave it to the girl to pick it up.

We finally headed home around 2:00 and thankfully the kids slept pretty well on our long ride home.  It was such a fun trip with great friends and I'm glad we decided to all go at the last minute.
