Graduation 2013

Monday, May 20 was Graduation day for a lot of our seniors in our sunday school class and it was also mine and Jason's alma mater's graduation (19 & 20 years ago).  Thankful for my parents who watched the boys for us so we could attend graduation.  We've done the graduation thing with Brody when he was younger and it's not fun as Jason spent all of the time in the hallway outside - this was much better.

There were 225 graduating seniors just a few more than Jason and I had with 125 or so.  There was just the valedictorian and salutatorian speeches and then the 225 names called out.  The valedictorian was a girl from our sunday school class so we were of course quite proud.  They were actually able to call out the names pretty quickly and we were out of there in about 1 1/2 hours.

The fun part came afterwards when we tried to find some of our seniors to congratulate them.  WOW at all of the people.

With Jenna and Crista who rode with us.

Surprisingly we found most of them pretty quickly but it took awhile to find Sara Lynn and Tyler Ard.  I still find it hard to believe that our flower girl and ring bearer have graduated high school and I have to admit that a few tears were shed this night.  I tried not to but it just came.

One of the latest things is for the girls to decorate their caps.  I love Sara's.  She is on the front row, third from the left with a big red X on it.  This is the symbol for the End It Movement to end human slavery in our country.

Love these two!!

This was such a fun group of seniors this year and we are going to miss them as they move on to bigger things.
