One BUSY Saturday

May 21 was definitely a busy but fun day.  I was coordinating Brooke & Austin's wedding at 2:00 and then Callahan was celebrating 100 years so it was a big deal in the center of our town.  We headed to the center at 4:00 to watch the parade and boy was it HOT, but the boys -mostly Brody -had fun running into the street to gather the candy.

The parade wouldn't be complete without a few tractors.

Lots of old cars, but of course this would be one of my favorites since my cousin built it and is also driving it.

Hot and sweaty but still giving hugs.

Trevor was loving Mr. John because he had the candy.

After the parade, the main street was closed to traffic and we were able to walk all in the street - it was pretty cool.  We took a hayride, the boys rode on a McDonald's train, they danced in the street, and the night ended with a pretty cool fireworks show.

 Walking the streets.

Enjoying a shave ice on the hayride.

Dancin' in the streets - Ava, Baylie & Brody.  These kids had a blast dancing to the music.

This was too funny.  Brody is putting a ring on Baylie's finger - because she told him to.  Somebody's been watching too much of the royal wedding.  They then walked down the aisle "aka road".

It looks like Trevor was singing here - not really sure with him.

Oh yeah, an afternoon would not be complete without a true meltdown in public.  Fun times.

Not a great picture, but the best we had.

Although I get made fun of sometimes for living in Callahan, people think it is so far out, but you can't beat a small town celebration.  I am so glad we decided to join in the festivities with about 3000 other people.  Great memories!!
