We arrived to the park right as it opened at 10:00. That's one drawback with this park is that the hours seemed very limited - it only stayed open until 5:00 for us on Thursday. Oh well, we were going to make the most of it.
Everything was made out of legos and our first stop for pictures was Darth Vadar and R2D2. Brody wasn't so crazy about Darth at first, he didn't want to get too close to him.
Our first area was the Lego Kingdom area.
Jason wanted Brody to ride The Dragon roller coaster first, but he wasn't quite ready so we all rode Merlin's Challenge.
While Jason and Brody rode The Dragon, I took Trevor over to Duplo Village which was an area made just for Trevor's size
Jason wasn't too crazy about riding this one but the other 2 enjoyed it. Isn't Trevor so cute on this - he's so little but thinks he is so big.
The one good thing about this park is that the rides are specifically for small children. Trevor was able to ride his first roller coaster - Coastersaurus. We couldn't believe that he was big enough but we went with it. He thought he was a big boy. He didn't care for it so much during the ride, but as soon as he heard his big brother say he liked it then Trevor said the same thing. However, he didn't ride it again that day.
One of the boys favorite ride was the Safari Trek. All of the animals were made out of legos.
Brody’s favorite ride was the Technicycle.
Brody was finally tall enough to ride these type of rides –
Test Track. We have tried 2 other times
to ride something like this and he was always just shy of the height. He really enjoyed it and so did Jason.
While they enjoyed Test Track, Trevor and I went exploring
some of the park and here is what we found.
We then headed over to Lego City and Trevor drove his car in FORD Jr Driving School.
It was then time for Brody to drive at Ford Driving School. This was the longest line we waited in all day - 25 minutes. He had his picture taken for his license and watched a video on how to drive correctly. The roads had stop signs and red lights so it was just like a regular road. Brody did pretty good. He mostly followed the car in front of him and even bumped him a few times when the boy stopped.
His official license.
All made out of legos.
We had to wait out the rain for awhile but afterwards it was on to Flying School - a hanging roller coaster made just for Brody's size. He wasn't too crazy about riding it at first, but after he rode it, he came out and wanted me to ride it with him - I guess he enjoyed it.
The park has several play areas and of course the boys
really wanted to play in them. We wanted
to make sure that we had plenty of time to ride all of the rides and see all of
the park, so once that was taken care of, off the boys went to play in The
Forestmen’s Hideout. They were very
excited and had a blast.
Brody loved the Royal Joust and I couldn't believe you had to be 4 to ride this, so Trevor was very disappointed that he couldn't ride it.
One great thing about LegoLand is that in every line that was an designated Lego play area so if the lines were long the kids could go and play while their parents held their spot. Fortunately we didn't have to use them since we didn't wait in any lines, but Trevor went to play while we waited on Brody and Jason to ride another roller coaster.
Our final stop was MiniLand. This is where different US designations are all made out of Legos.

We stopped at IHOP for a pancake dinner which my boys love so it was a win win situation.
We arrived back to the hotel around 10:00 so it was once again a late night but not before they got in a couple of duels.
