Since it was only about a 2 hour drive we took our time and grabbed some lunch at a burger place Stephanie had heard about - Yeah! Burger. It was an organic, grass fed burger place. The food was really good - but a little overpriced for a burger.
We even had some time to stop by and check out the Intown Ace Hardware.
We checked into our hotel and then headed to Stone Mountain for the afternoon. Our first stop was the gondola ride to the top of Stone Mountain.
After giving strict rules (mostly to my boys) we were off to explore. The view from the top was amazing.
These 3 were in the picture taking mood - thank goodness. I think they thought it was pretty cool to be near the edge.
Liam wasn't so sure about this.
By the time we got down the mountain it was getting dark and the Christmas lights were on.
We also took a train around the mountain to see and hear the Nativity Story. So encouraged to have places that still celebrate the real reason of Christmas.
The boys had seen The Barn and were pretty excited to go and check it out. This was a huge 4 story barn with Thousands of balls that you could shoot and Throw (not really) at people. I think the older boys had just as much fun if not more than the kids.
We had some tired kids at the end of the night and ready for a good night sleep so we could get up and have some snow fun the next day.
