June 3 – 7 was our church’s Vacation Bible School. For the second year we have held 6 VBS’s
around our town and a nearby town for a total of 6 VBS. This year I wasn’t able to help out due to
already scheduled things but I did stay for the first night.
Brody was so excited to be able to bring 2 of his buddies
with him – Bradyn and Lawton. We picked
them up and headed over for our first night of VBS. This year they had a jumbo tron truck stop at
each of the locations throughout the week to give a Bible lesson. “Uncle Sam” came out and led the kids in a
song or 2 and then told the story about Saul on the road to Damascus. The theme for the week was “No Fear”
Not so sure about the loud music
Up and dancing
Trevor even stayed for the first night since I was staying, but needless to say he was not going again. I can see why it is only for Kindergarten – he was extremely tired and it was not a good time for him. He just wanted to play on the playground instead of doing what was supposed to be going on.
Time for crafts.
These kids loved making their crafts.
Music and Dancing time
Recreation Time – now this is right up the boys alley. They just love to run around and have so
much fun.
The other nights they had water games and a huge slip n
slide. Talk about a great time. They were so excited to go back each night
and they were always able to tell me about the Bible story they learned that
night. His Bible verse for the week was
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear but power, love and sound judgment”
2 Timothy 2:7. So proud of him and even
a couple weeks after he still knew the verse.
I am so thankful for a church that gives so much to our children’s
department. A big thanks to our
Children’s Pastor – Bro. Tom for putting so much time and effort into our
children.
