Monday morning, July 22 Brody was to report to Golf Camp at
Windsor Parke Golf Club in Jacksonville.
He was so excited to be able to participate in this 4 day camp. When we first asked him about wanting to go,
he wasn’t too excited. I think he didn’t
really know what to expect, but he finally decided to go.
All ready for his first day – looking like a pro!!
This was definitely getting us ready for school because we
had to be out the door by 7:45 to be at the golf course by 8:30. Thankfully we made it every day even the
first day when we were 10 minutes down the road and Brody realized he left his
hat so we had to turn around.
The camp was for 6 – 13 year olds and they were placed in a
group based on their ability. He was in
the middle group with 5 other kids.
Trevor and I stayed each day until they broke up into groups, which was
only about 5 minutes and then we ran off to do errands.
Trevor and I had a great time running our errands.
We bought his school supplies
Breakfast of champions
Everyday when we picked up Brody he had great things to say
about the camp and all that he learned.
He was so excited to go home and practice what he had learned and show
his daddy. I was so glad to know that he
was having fun and enjoying the camp.
The golf pro with Brody's group
Even on a rainy day they found a way to allow the kids to practice their skills - a little putting course inside.
A little afternoon fun after camp.
It was definitely a successful camp and I'm sure he will be ready to do it again next year.
