Summer Fun

One of the consequences of living in Florida is that is very HOT!!! So thank goodness my parents have a pool and we live right next door. I am sure we will have many days and evenings spent at the pool. Just the other day I picked up Brody from school and we both couldn't wait to get in the pool - unfortnuately, God had other plans and the summer thunderstorms started up.

Here are a few pictures of our summer fun so far. These were from the Sunday evening before Memorial Day (we didn't have church) and we had Brody's best buds and their parents over for some pool fun. Nothing like "borrowing" the pool when my parents weren't even home. We had a blast and I think the kids did to.

Actually so much freedom that after he took it off to go to the bathroom he walked right into the pool without putting it back on. Jason was in the deep end with Trevor and there was no one else in the pool. I heard something and turned around and ran down the steps - clothes and all to get him. Thankfully he wasn't scared and even better he was treading water. He didn't go under so his little head was just above the water. We explained of course to not go in without his vest but at the same time he did really good swimming to keep above the water. This is why we are starting swimming lessons this week.

They swam until around 9:00. Needless to say they slept really good.
